Jeff Han gave 'that presentation' at TED in 2006. He obviously wasn't the first to explore multitouch computing but for many technophiles, his prototype demonstration changed the way we look at computers forever.

Once the innovation ice is broken, iterative development occurs at an astonishing rate and the release of the Apple iPad can be seen as the completion of the first wave of mass-consumer multitouch innovation instigated by Han five years ago.
