Smoothmedia developed and continues to operate the Virtual Graduate School (VGS) at Goldsmiths, University of London.  The VGS allows students to participate in seminars, discussion groups and social fora while offering support resources on funding, academic events and learning. The VGS is one of the first virtual grad schools in the world and is designed to significantly enhance the experience of postgraduate study at Goldsmiths.

Lecturers, administrators, taught Masters and doctoral research students at Goldsmiths automatically receive an account in the VGS and can log-in to take online research training on ethics, obtaining research funding, project management and intellectual property. The VGS is currently in Beta and plans a full launch in 2008 with live seminars online supporting interdisciplinary activities and methods.
